Disc Brake Systems
Experience the difference with the first fully integrated wheelchair braking system! Descend ramps and hills with confidence, lock your wheels with finger-tip effort and enjoy increased independence with ADI Disc Brake Systems.

The intuitive, stylish ADI patented disc brake systems enable users of all physical abilities near effortless controlled braking and the ability to fully lock the wheels. ADI believes that a non-moving chair during transfers is vital to the day to day safety and function of wheelchair users. The time has come for wheelchair users of all levels of ability, to have “True Wheelchair Braking”!

Utilizing disc technology on wheelchairs you gain many benefits while eliminating problems caused by the standard over-center locking devices. Contact us today and experience the difference.

  • Patented two piece hub design maintains quick release wheels
  • Use as deceleration brake when managing ramps
  • Enhances safety & independence
  • Reduces pain by eliminating twisting & repetitive motions
  • Allows users to roll completely under desks/tables, and lock brakes with ease

Variable Lever - User Interface

The only manually activated wheelchair brake system on the market.

Our patented single brake lever locks both wheels simultaneously with only light pressure, allowing for safer transfers from a non-moving chair, while offering four stages of incremental braking force.

Para Lever - User Interface

For the paraplegic user, this system provides true wheelchair braking. We utilize bicycle type brake levers with a “lock-up” button for transfers. Users with good hand function and trunk control can independently actuate the left or right side for deceleration, maneuvering or fast cornering.

Attendant Lever - User Interface

This system provides true wheelchair braking for easier deceleration and maneuvering. We utilize bicycle type brake levers mounted on the wheelchair push handle for easy use by the able bodied person managing the chair mobility. Each lever has a “lock up” button for wheel lock capabilities enabling safer transfers.

E-Brake - User Interface

E-Brakes – For the ultimate in wheelchair braking, “E-Brakes” utilizes a patented electrically actuated brake system to lock both wheels simultaneously. The brake system is activated by a single toggle switch located conveniently on the chair frame, thus getting the brake lever “out of the way" during transfers.

Fusion 16 Wheels

Stronger 12 gauge spokes to reduce the spoke count and increase strength. The outside spokes are cross laced to increase the wheels rotational integrity (stiffness). The inside spokes are radially laced to increase the side load integrity with camber. On the inside spokes the spoke heads are squared off to fit into a channel in the hub to prevent them from turning and working themselves loose
